How will I be billed if I continue after the trial?

Once your 7-day trial offer ends, you’ll be billed on a recurring basis.

If you chose the ‘6 month prepaid’ option, you’ll be billed 6 months upfront after your trial. If you chose the ‘monthly’, you’ll be billed on a monthly basis.

All plans are set to auto-renew unless you cancel.

How many language lessons should I be booking on Rype?

There’s no right or wrong answer here.

One thing we want to emphasize is that consistency is 10x more important than frequency. Students that take lessons consistently 2-3x per week have much faster and more effective results than students that jump into the deep end by booking lessons 5x the first week, then 1x the next, and so forth.

Consistency > Frequency. Take small steps and build on it.

How much time will I need to have to use Rype?

From the hundreds of students that we’ve gathered data from, the average student spends ~2 hours/week learning.

If you break that down, that’s 15 mins/day. Since all the lessons are online, you never have to commute to learn, and best of all: you can be doing other tasks like cooking, the laundry, walking your dog, and more while you’re taking your lessons.

Will there be language lesson plans provided?

Yes there will be language lesson plans for you!

Here’s the better news. Unlike language schools, Rype delivers one-on-one private language lessons with a dedicated teacher. This means that instead of ‘one-size-fits-all’ language lesson plans, we learn about your needs, goals, and proficiency upfront, and our teachers will tailor customized language lesson plans to fit your exact needs.

All of our teachers have professional teaching experience, and have their own resources when it comes to teaching you a language. This means that language lesson plans will vary from teacher to teacher, language to language, and so on.

We encourage you to explore several language teachers first to see which teachers and language lesson plans are the right fit for you.

Does Rype work for beginners?

Rype will work for you, whether you’re an advanced speaker or a total beginner. We offer a complete package that takes you from zero knowledge to advanced learner!

Can I pause my membership?

Yes! If you are on a monthly plan, you are able to pause your subscription for 1 week, 2 weeks, or 4 weeks.

In your account, select your profile in the top right corner and click on Plans and Billing.

At the bottom of the page, under your subscription details, you should see an option to Pause your account.

If you do not see this option available, a pause is not possible.

Your time off will be prorated on your next invoice and your subscription will automatically become active at the end of the selected pause time.

How do I cancel my membership?

To submit a cancellation, please go to your membership portal –> plans & billing –> delete membership.

What is your refund policy?

We are able to offer you a full refund up to 7 days after you’ve been charged. That means if you started your free trial on January 1, you will be charged January 8 if you decided to continue, and you will have until January 15 to request a refund.
